~ paper must be excellent quality. either rough or cold pressed 140 or 300 lb paper high rag content. mary's own choice for paper is arches 140 or 300 lb. if you prefer 300 lb paper, it will not need to be stretched. bring at least 4 full sheets of paper. for supporting and stretching paper, she recommends one 24"x32" piece of hite gatorboard. gatorboard is a lightweight, acid-free board. a staple gun and staples for stretching paper.

~ students traveling by air will need to pack a smaller board and sheets of paper to fit the suitcase.

~ other suggested items to bring are a camera and samples of your work to share with other students.
